One of the types of widely used steel sheets is called black sheet. You might think this profile is black. But in fact it is not like that and only its surface is not smooth and polished to reflect the light. For this reason, it looks darker than other sheets. Hot rolling method is used to produce this type of metal sheet. To produce black steel sheet, first the steel ingot is heated to the melting temperature so that it becomes soft. Then it is slowly spread on a wide and flat surface to form a rectangular cube with a long length. When the molten material of the steel ingot takes shape in the mold, cold water is poured on it to cool and harden. They put it back in the oven to reach the right temperature. This time the heating of the black sheet is to increase the flexibility for rolling. In the last step, the thickness of the black steel sheet is brought to the standard size. Black sheets are used for the production of car bodies, car floor sheets, the production of seamed pipes, the production of profiles, the use of tankers, and the use of shipbuilding.
